Just ditched my secondary drive which was 20Gb for a 320Gb Western Digital drive. It was on sale at Best Buy so I went for it. (I was just going to buy a 150Gb drive for $60). It’s nice to have that kind of breathing room again. So now after it was formatted down to 300GB and I also have my main drive that’s 80GB formatted down to 76.3Gb I have a total of 376Gb of HDD space. I know that may not be alot to most of you but it’s quite a bit more than I have had. I was bored so I thought I’d share that with you guys/gals. Peace out.

it’s because hard drive companies say that 1000MB = 1GB when in reality it’s like 1024MB or something.
But hard drive companies have their own way of measuring I guess. Just like the US has their own system of measuring things. Which is completely stupid
Agreed. I don’t know why I said formatted down. I didn’t install Windows on this drive or anything… lol. Either way it’s 300Gb of free space goodness!

I’ve got just over a terrabyte, mostly for video work.
Cause it’s the only thing I never updated on my computer since I’ve built it. I still had my 80 gb from my other computer and a really old 20 gb playing second fiddle.
Now there’s a little bit of new in everything in my computer. Roughly 376Gb of HDD space, 1gb of ram, 256MB vid card. I’m all set for a little while. (Until I find something new that I wanna upgrade. :))
