Well there you all go. I think that you have officially pissed off your fearless leader Whitey (that or he is on the rag). I will add to what he has to say. I do not make a single dime off of the boards we own. The other admins (there are three of us) do not make a single dime off of the boards. Once or so a year we go out to a dinner together and have a good time for our reward. Bringing Pittspeed in to the network not only cost money (again we do not take a profit, rather we invest in building a community), but it cost me personally almost 48 hours of my life. I have a pregnant wife and a very demanding career. 48 hours to me is a commitment that nearly breaks my spirit, but I make it because I believe in what we are doing for the automotive community. Hell, I do not even have a fast car. I tried to buy a car 3 weeks ago and my wife said well, it is the car or my hot tub. I am now drawing plans for a fucking indoor hot tub (yeah, I had to agree that a hot tub beat my dreams of a porsche… I will still get my car!) My point is that the users rarely recognize the sacrifice that goes into building a forum. Now multiply that by 10 and try to realize what goes into building a community of numerous forums all built as one. If you can find me a community like the one that we have developed I will give you a cookie. We are doing something ground breaking. This is like a small version of Iran and Israel playing nice (I am not sure which sites are which country yet). We have to moderate and control the personalities of several different groups of people all within one spectrum. NOW you may say that this is like any other board that is Global. WRONG. We are acquiring numerous sites that have had well established user bases. If I was you, I would be up in arms too. Who the fuck are we to tell you what to do right? Well we are a team of overworked underpaid guys with a big vision. Whitey sees and believes in the vision too and whether he will say that or not, it is my opinion and I believe it firmly. We have had friends walk on us because they didn’t see the vision. Guess what, we are still going strong and this fine community is the latest to join in. Next weekend guess what will happen? I am going to give up more of my time to add another site. Net profit to me $0 actually something like $-300 since I could be working some overtime and I get paid very well to work OT. All that we are asking of you is to play nice in one small area of the boards. I think that now after the change has settled in a bit we are all starting to agree but I want to make sure that we all understand and respect each other. I do not spend my day calling people “whiny fucking cunt rags” I spend my day in the same cordial business environment that I was raised in. I know we are all different but respect is a common moral value and not to hard to give especially if it is being given back. If you believe that I have truly offended you or crossed a line, I expect a PM about it OR for all I care call/text me and tell me I am an ass hole. 716-548-0610 my number is on the other boards now it is here for you. I have met some great friends on here over the years and even met my wife on Pittspeed, but things have gone down hill over the last couple years. I just want to say thanks to John and Nick for all the hard work and good times had in the past.

what? because i told stupid kids to stay out of one particular spot where the group of us that actually live in the city like to chill? thats actually what happend to most of the chill spots, it got to big, police kicked people out and by the time people wanted to come back most everyone just stopped wanting to come.
the bull shit stopped well before the place went down hill… i think it was longer ago than that that i personally apologized to you, your brother in law, etc for petty BS… bull shit didnt run it into the ground thou. the fact that it got boring ran it into the ground. many reasons contributed to that (people moved on, grew up, changed priorities, etc) If anything i thought it woulda went the other way, as in closing.
pittspeed was what it was because of the people on it…and NOTHING ELSE… it will never be BETTER than it was. Bigger in terms of profit, members…maybe…never better.
