Letter from Amherst highway department

I got this last week and found this one sentence a little odd…

“This is to inform you that we will be rehabilitating your road this season.”

Rehabilitating? Does my road have a heroin problem? A broken wing that needs to be mended so it can be released to the wild?

Anyway… This morning I ended up driving down the sidewalk and using my neighbor’s driveway to get to the street since step one of road rehab is rip the fuck out of it with the giant cheese grater from hell, leaving a pile of crushed road about 6" higher than a GTO’s ground clearance in front of my driveway.

Owned.

Aw it’s like a poor little abandoned kitten!

you would think someone like you would have backed out and fucked you car and got new parts and such " I did not see that pile there"

They tried to make your road go to rehab, and you said no, no, no

Step 1 is understanding that you have a problem…

I’d call satish he’ll fix it.
The games being played between the highway dept. and satish are unreal. Perfect example of broken gov’t

Doesn’t everyone in Williamsville own an SUV?

rehabilitation is OFTEN used in construction jargon. One of the prjoects i’m currently managing is titled “Debris Removal and Drain Rehabilitation”

My wife walked past the screen as i was scrolling past your post now she wont stop singing that song :frowning:

i fucking hate that song and the bitch who sings it. I feel your pain. my apologies.

Tell her to stop looking at your screen. It could have been porn.

Rehab step 2… my road is going through pavement withdrawal.

they did mine last year… curbs, sidewalks, trees, water main, gas main, sewer and storm drains, complete dig down 4’ to base and replaced it all. SHIT MESS and they didn’t lay pavement until the last week of november.

This should be just a simple scrape/repave. I’m guessing it will be done before the end of the week.

And I’m determined to be the first asshole to lay a big smokey burnout patch on the new road.

Hmm I will have to beat you to this.

Did that at Sheridan and Delaware
OK, not a long and smokey one, but its a major intersection.

I do have the disadvantage of not being able to do it in front of the road crew since they’ve seen where I live.

running in place with your nikes?

Step 1: Pick yourself up one of these for the summer
Step 2: Enter and Exit your driveway with ease
Step 3: prob get better gas mileage than the GTO
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit
