I am disagreeing with you a lot today. As a boat owner, the above is NOT true. Owning and using a boat frequently is awesome. I probably won’t ever give it up.
I’m not worried about friends wanting to get out on a boat that I might have, as I have no friends
Just need something fun to do with the family.
If we want to go someplace cool, I can justify a cabin over a pop up if there is a boat in tow.
edit:
If I win the lottery…
i want a boat.
taking my boating course for the license this saturday.
if your gonna buy one … do it right
fuck the gas … its only money … you can always make more …
this is a smokin deal … this is by far one of the best powerboats ever made
Uhh, what license?
Right? My first reaction was ‘LOL Juat?’
the boating safety course where you get the little card that says you completed the safety course and are legal to operate a boat. maybe license wasnt the best word to call it? just a certificate i guess lol.
no license needed for boat.
Sea Ray undoubtedly makes some of the best boats out there. Anywhere from 18 footers all the way up to 70 foot monsters. My family has owned several, and my father still owns a 1987 39’ Sport Fisherman. Both have been very long ownerships and they’ve always been great. Even the 28 footer handled nasty offshore conditions like a champion.
They’re not exactly known to be speed boats, but then again, they’re not known to make great sport fishing boats, but my folks love theirs
Yeah, no license needed for a boat. However, they’re probably a good start if you don’t have someone to show you where all of the trouble spots are around here (and there are a lot of them.)
Need one for a PWC though. Regardless of age.
which is why im getting the boaters safety course thing…so i dont have to worry about needing it. i would rather be on a boat but at my uncles cottage he has pwc’s as well that i can take out.
Does it come with Don Johnson’s teal shirt too?
bump.
anyone know about jetboats. say small block and big block powered ones, not the sea doo jobbers. my friend has one, i like em, just would like to hear from more people on them or if anyone has experience with them. seem to be 60’s/70’s era. are the other jet drives ok or is it best to stick with a berkeley?
