Lexus IS-F

Whether or not you believe what you want to believe, or even have the slightest clue on what i make or even do for the dealership, I don’t really care. I’m sure if I told you that there are salesmen who make $100k all the way up to $150k, you wouldn’t believe me. It’s cool.

And just when I thought selling cars was for people who couldn’t find a real job

Plus it helps when you’re good looking. People like dealing with you more so than with an ugly person.

i need a new job.

On topic: I say go for it. I’m all about things people think are impractical.

I see MOBOOST4U is viewing this thread. Lets talk about Alan’s $8,000 months we all know about.

I have a friend who makes pretty damn good money selling cars as well. He started at West Herr Nissan and is now at Honda.

Being a decent looking, social human being that can hold up a decent conversation helps a lot.

thsi car is the perfect balance between luxury/performance.good hunting

Adam is undoubtedly great with words (and a handsome muthafuka I may add) as he states, but Alan was making that kind of money when the Dow was at an all time high, people were buying fully loaded Tundras, and Toyota was at the peak of its market.

While I realize Toyota still holds the most market share in the US, that still dosent change the fact that US buyers have a lot less money to burn on slightly more expensive cars compared to the affordable shit GM and ford is pumping out (not to mention their financing)…

With that said, Yes, I can see it being possible that he makes that much, but in this market, projecting that you will hit $100k this year is borderline laughable…

There are a handful of people who make good money selling cars…The majority do not…

Please tell me how your sales are during the winter in WNY

Back on topic…

Get the IS-F its a hot car…

Buddy just picked up a IS-F in that offish white down in louisiana. Said the car is the best he’s owned so far, but had to pull the dash to disable some “in park” lock out feature…

Still thinking about this car, or did you change your mind?

I never said I would hit 100k. I’m under 60k, just about 50k for the year right now. We haven’t hit a slump, except for the past week (because of the election). People are always going to lease cars, and we are getting a high number of GM leases in the door. We are actually up 11% from last year at this time. Believe it or not, Buffalo is one of the best places to be in a recession and we have yet to see people not buy a car because of the market. I’d speak about gross, but that is nobody’s business by my own and the dealership.

We are up 11% from last october. I believe we are at 130 cars sold this month, and we’ll probably add a few more by Saturday. Not to mention, I make a large % of my money off warranties, and the whole F&I procedure.

I’m going to test drive one next Wednesday in PA.

I was gonna say, if you’re around 60 now and you think you’re going to hit 100 by the year end, i want that bonus!

It’s not winter…Yet lol…I detailed cars at a dealership for a couple years and I know a ton of sales people who sell just about every brand…Winter in Buffalo is really rough on auto sales…

You may clear good checks in summer but Dec-Feb usually blows

But if you are good at sales you can usually make enough during the other months to cover the slow down…

Haha. I’d retire for a year.

If anything, we will slow down by about 10 cars a month, maybe barely hit 100 in January, and then the auto show comes to town. There really isn’t much down time at our store. Not to mention, I’m taking a large vacation in December, so I don’t really care. And as long as GM and chrysler aren’t leasing, that opens up a whole new demographic to us.

Anyways…

Hurry and buy the IS-F

I just bought a E. Bauer Explorer, and I’m debating whether or not to get rid of it on trade (and lose money) and drive an IS in snow mode or rock the truck through winter.

Eddie Bauer = Baller

fuck the lexus

is that how you get the womenz??

Just curious… How does Basil fair up against the other big 3 car sellers (West Herr, NorthTown and Fucillo) in the area, as far as Toyotas go?

I mean, I know Toyota has the sales crown but making that kind of money in this economic stage with that kind of competition is just beyond me…

Like you and Alan, I am now a Toyota humper, (although I obviously dont drive one lol) but I feel their build quality is superior to any other make right now. I have always told myself the only way I would get a job in sales is if I truly believed in what I was selling, its gotta be a nice luxury knowing you sell the best car on the market! (And hopefully driving one soon too
