I have a 1993 240sx, stock engine…the only downfall about my buy is that the engine has 400,000+km on it. Should I be worried or in the market for a new engine or do I stil have a decent amount of life in it left? How long have your engines lasted you?
Thanks

well, you’re gonna need a new engine eventually… whether it’s next week or next year, so might as well start looking for one now.
figure out which way you wanna go (KA, SR, whatever) and start picking up good parts at good prices… it’ll save you time and money in the long run.
Do it.
nissan impresses me more and more everyday
nissan forever babyyyy
go with an sr, but i would say u have little time remaining
in my opinion, 400k is pushing it unless everything is rebuilt

with regular (obsessive) oil and filter changes… a lot of mileage
sure rubber seals go, when they do you replace them, for everything metal to metal the oil is supposed to stop the wear more or less
good maintenance is key to long life, and poor maintenance leads to premature failure… simple really

This isn’t a stretch.
My first 240sx sold with 298,000km on it, the owner drove it to 340-370km before deciding to turbo it.
