If a car design has to “grow on you” means it’s sort of like an acquired taste.
Your first senses tell you it’s bad, but eventually you convince yourself after tasting enough of it, that if it’s out there and other people buy it, it must be good, but you should always trust your first instinct.
Plus if it grows on you, you tend to like it a lot more over time. I HATED some cars’ looks, but now they’re amazing to me.

i like the new ones, theyre nice.
When they switched over to the new restyle i hated them… the 07 i think was the best looking STI (besides the 00 RS…etc)
Now they’ve grown on me. Like cossey said… they have really milked the EJ series too long. Time for something new.
I think it looks decent, but in my opinion there have been nicer looking Impreza/STi designs in the past.
