limewire is officially dead

no that would be satan

no… that’s satan with cheese

Oh man, what if they go after Compuserve next? Or Prodigy? What are those 7 people going to do? :eek4dance

Oh shit. Guess I’m going to start having to pay for music now.

Oh wait…

frostwire for droid phones ftw

I use torrents, but I make sure I steal someone else’s wireless connection first. Don’t want that shit coming down under my ip address.

cant get in trouble for downloading. oly selling or distributing

Who told U that?

incorrect

the source has to be deemed illegal for you to get in trouble for it . Limewire wasn’t illegal until recently. The people letting you download the music from there computer were doing something illegal. As far as you know (or care) its just free music

^^ makes as much sense as saying bootlegging movies isn’t illegal because the “source” being the movie theater isn’t illegal.

I do make sure I run peerblock on any computer I P-P with.

bro… seriously?

oh that bank i robbed… thought it was free money, my bad.

I fail

right… i’ve been mentioning that

You can download the music if you’ve purchased the rights to it.

As far as stealing someone else’s wireless to download illegal music? I think the penalty is higher for invasion of someone else’s computer network? Might as well just download it from your computer and run the risk.

But really, do we know anyone who has actually gotten in trouble for downloading music?

I still torrent, but not nearly as much as I had been for a while. Most of the shit I do DL is rare out of print shit where the band and/or label has been defunct for a long time. I would be highly skeptical if the ones looking for filesharers would care about, only because there wouldn’t be a plaintiff. You can’t buy it legally, so?

That said I have cut way back, see how this fleshes out. I know of no one personally that has been picked up for it, though.

im pretty computer illiterate i guess. oh well
