Why is it that they give every one on stage a microphone and then the artists “posse” all yell the last word of every line? so fucking annoying…
because it’s easier to produce a good rap song splicing together shit than it is to perform the entire song live.
yup, althought i heard dr. dre concerts are ‘shows’. other than that i’ve been to two rap concerts (both bad) and i’ve never heard of someone talking about a great hiphop-rap concert (even some ghetto dudes who you’d think might talk it up) :dunno:
$15 cd > $50 performance
theres a reason the beatles stopped touring in 68, you can make music in studios that you can’t remake on stage accurately :fart:
jay-z live > *
i think its because of the fact that most rap sucks balls.
thier not used to standing in a spotlight, usually they run :kekegay:
rap in concert sucks but thats not to say that all the artists cant perform live. some good examples r even on Chapelle show. alot of the ppl on there came on and ripped shit and it was awesome (ex. mos def, kwelli, gza, kanye etc…)
Roots live > *
i’m not big on concerts in general…but the Roots show is real good.
kinda off subject, but took the wife to see Brain McKnight a few years back & it was probably the best live performance i’ve ever see.
you know how a lot of artists don’t sound quite as good live since there is a lot of cleanup before an album is finalized…well he sounded as good or better then on CD.
its was QUALITY!!
yeah. ive seen the roots live about 3 times. awsome show. I def agree that most live rap concerts suck ass. I was so dissapointed back in 1997 when i saw wu tang with rage against the machine in starlake.
Jazz and Blues! >*
