The other thing is with the LSx/GM truck engines HP tuners can disable codes and make them be able to pass all the readiness checks.

Another good point. Does the disable only last until you drive the vechile so many miles or is it permanent?
Forever as soon as you go key on they set basically leave SES enabled but change the Error mode to 3 - No error reported
