I went and visited a WNY local who has several fun toys, but enjoyed this the most. Mainly because of how absurd it is.
He told me he built a riding lawn mower to compete in tractor pulls… it was an interesting surprise. This guy is sort of a backyard engineer with a lot of fun toys (including a personal helicopter, a couple planes, and a landing strip in his backyard)
This was just awesome in person. I tried recording it with my cell phone, but don’t think the audio does it justice. At least wait 'til the last few seconds of video to hear the turbine winding down.
yeah, it’s pretty lame. By the time i got my camera on the phone going, i already missed the startup sequence. It’s more to hear the turbine when powering down. I’ll see if i can get some afterburner videos at night.
i figured you of all people have a special appreciation for an inappropriate, elaborate, power modification to a lame means of transportation AND… in the end it having actually function SUCCESSFULY!
