it’s not lik eyou’re get more power or it’ll work any better. dirt doesn’t protect it from heat.
Not sure why you want to clean it but i’m guessing it is probably right under the intake manifold close to where your thermostat is. You’ll see a coolant pipe that has two probes with wires running to them. One is your coolant temp sensor, the other is coolant temp for your gauge cluster.
