long time no see! going to take the plunge

oh no, I meant for research and recommendations.

Congrats man. I was in the situation when I proposed. Now that I have money, she still won’t replace the ring. Sentimental value ftw.

I have had nothing but good experience with Andrews. They set my wife’s family heirloom rock in a Tacori band at a great price and bent over backwards to get the ring done in time when I told them that I needed the ring by X date for my proposal plans to work. They did a great job setting it too, lowered the prongs perfectly when I told them that I thought the diamond would sit a touch too high “stock.”

thats awesome thank you man. and thanks for everyones assistance. hey Fry, what was trhe lag time between purchase and set and avalibility… I was going to propose in late november.

Oof. Let me try to remember. This was way back in ought-four. I picked the ring up 2 days before christmas which same day I picked up her new puppy, hence the scheduling issue. It was getting cold when I ordered the band. Late september/october maybe?

Either way if you pull the trigger by the end of the month I’m sure you’ll get it in plenty of time. The band I got had to be ordered sized correctly from Tacori, but for $1200 bucks you’re probably looking at something the jeweler can size so it should be a pretty quick turnaround time. Just don’t let it get too close to the Holidays.

the more time the better, with custom work you’re always better planning on having lots of time. If you’re just getting something set in an existing setting they can turn it around pretty quickly though. last thing you want is to have to change plans because the ring isn’t ready :poke:
