Longer wheel studs?

I just replaced the rack and tie rods on my car, and upon remounting my wheels, i noticed how much fatter the center of these aftermarket wheels are. the stock studs aren’t long enough, to my comfort, to have enough depth for the nuts. so my question is, are longer wheel studs available for my spindles? they would be from a 90-93 teg. where could i get them, and would any shop press them in? thanx.

God those are cheap. Easy to install too. Pound out the old ones, push in the new ones, and pull them on with a shitty set of lugs and some washers, or a proper install tool.

It is very bad practice to use old lugs and washers, the “splines” could strip causing unnecessary problems (more parts being replaced, hopefully it is the splines on the stud that strip). You could always take the chance…

It is best to use a press or the proper install tool

and they arent easy to install with a da integra, you need to have the hub pressed off the bearing in order to install properly

thanx for the link. but are these stock length studs? anyone happen to know offhand the length of stock ones. preferably, I’d like to get studs that have at least another inch on them than stock.

What splines could strip? Sure a press is better, but since they sell a tool specifically for pulling it in with a lug nut, it is at least one proper install tool when a press is not available.

The mate between the stud and the axle, hub, etc(depending on the car). The specific tool puts a force directly onto the stud, pressing it in. Using a lug nut and washers puts a twisting force on the mate between the stud and hub, the stub is probably stronger then what it is going into. More then likely that it wouldn’t strip but there is a chance.

I hope my explaination makes sense.
