I am looking at this page on German Auto Parts; http://www.germanautoparts.com/Audi/A4/Brake/157/6
I need to order rear brakes but am not sure what extra parts I need with it.
Is this all I need:
or do I need the brake pads the come with the bolts and retaining clips?

The second pic is a caliper rebuild kit I think.
Really? I don’t see any of the usual piston rubber grommets that would be in a rebuild kit, that picture is also listed in the brake pad subcategory.

Jon, you shouldn’t need the bolts or the clips unless you snap a bolt or the clips are in really shitty shape. If it can wait until sunday I’ll be around then to give you a hand.
Edit: your sig is a little bit out of date…now that I say that mine is too

You should just need the pads. The shims clean up with a wire brush easily.

Negative. Rebuild kits come with seals and grommets, no pads or hardware, and are cheap.
wrong those bolts are the carrier/slider bolts. and the clips are the anti rattle clips for the pads.
Jon,what year audi are we looking at here? when i ddi pads/rotors on my A4, i just bought a set of pads. it was a B5 1.8t. nothing fancy.
why are you even thinking about doing work on a car… go get in bed
