i think its funny that honda’s have always had this history of being slow cars, with no torque. and if you look now they are known for how fast they can be for relatively not a lot of money, now everyone is saying they dont have the “class” of the nicer cars. i agree of course, but each person builds a car around what they want. i myself just wanted an extremely fast street car, and i got it. no i want a bit more than that so im gonna do something different.
i think you forgot about the swap axles, getting a wiring harness done, a radiator, shifter box, shifter cables if not included, EG subframe if dealing with an EK with ekk2 mounts, ep3 idler puller, belts and bracket, a fuel rail for the return system, a fuel pressure regulator fuel line, a custom clutch lines thats all just for the swap.
then you got a clutch to handle the power, a fuel pump and injectors,
a setup like this car can be put together for around 16-20k depending on deals/specific parts used, etc.
Thank you lol. Ok, from another honda guy…the pic that he posted, to do that car professionally(bring it to a shop to be done, not doing it yourself), what would it take from start to finish, including everything, cage, paint, etc…
I talked to the guy the other day over PMs and he said he built that car rather cheap because of people he knows and that he painted it himself, did the cage himself, and fabricating and what not. Buddy of his supplied the turbo kit to him through his shop for cheap and got the motor and other components through his buddy’s shop at cheap prices.
The point is people saying its “just a honda” is retarded. They got out of their car what they wanted which was speed…and most of the people talking down on them have 2 minor poweradders and think their cars are badass when theyre peices of shit.
no matter what you throw out there…there will always be SOMEONE els doing SOMTHING els to SOME OTHER CAR to beat the man…once you get away from mfg built crate motors does it really matter who built the frame or the fucking body? i mean there DOES come a point where its just not a fucking ford, chevy, honda, toyota, dodge, etc etc etc… and it becomes somthing entirely diffrent. serieously…
their kinda like the import version mustang… dare i say it… but serieously think about it… thats why mustangs always stayed around… ford wasnt stupid…they made the car to be modified for cheap, dont get me wrong im not anti chevy i love fbody cars from 67 right up on to 2002 but lets face it SALES slumped and the aftermarket wasnt strong enough to dictate to GM to keep the models around. and like ive said before i respect and love anything thats stupid fast the cheaper you can make it go the better… fuck it lol i still love my stangs even if they are dogs out of the box.
I dont konw where you got that from…Ide rather have a gsxr 1000 than the fastest honda on earth but its dumb to just dismiss fast hondas which are doing what the owners meant for the an just belike…its still a hona its still a peice of shit…and yes anything better than a built ford
