Soooo sweet. Can someone spot me $300000?

it reminds me of that laser cutting tool they advertise in popular mechanics to make like numbers for houses or decorations etc

A 60hp evolution? GAY.

That thing is fucking awesome. I wonder how it moves on 5 axis unless it’s a complete swivel head?

twice this week on here I have seen EVOLUTION spelled out. its evo, damnit

yes I know this isnt a car but still.

Flow has a 5-axis out too. Pretty sweet. That’s a good price for the dsm waterjet, the simple x/y tables from flow are around 200k, depending on how you option them out.

haaa haa…but its capable of 60,000 psi of boost

The salesman mentioned a 90,000psi option that cuts twice as a fast as the 60000psi!

Lasers are good for thin stuff and tight tolerances but water can cut anything and waaaaaay thicker.
You can cut cardboard, chicken, marble, foam, wood, etc with a waterjet try that with a laser. lol

wow thats awesome

If you know anyone with waterjet experience that wouldn’t mind passing some advice on to me please let me know.
This is a new technology to me but I am seriously considering purchasing some equipment to help diversify and increase production capacity. Thanks.

Hmm…

^The motorsports applications/possibilities are endless.

I’ll see you next week.

I’ve used one, i cut a pretty rose out of 1/4 thick glass. It was fun. My father has tons of experience with them, i’m sure if you wanted to know anything specific i could ask him.

Porsche uses a X,Y to cut all of the leather in their cars. It has a sensor built in that scans the leather for imperfections and dimension then maps out the best way to cut the pieces and goes to work. It is fucking sweet.

hmm. We (battery research lab at UB) are actually looking for somebody local to supply some of our battery test cell parts, one of which is waterjet cut metal, since our current supplier is not that reliable. Perhaps if you get it we can discuss.
