ok, well, I’m sick of all the “normal” places to go eat, I’m looking for something with good reviews probably in the Allentown/Elmwood areas; something like East Ave in Rochester places.
Let me know where you’ve been, what you recommend, and what type of food they have.
cheaper:
gabriels gate, colter bay, fat bobs, globe market, bettys, jimmy macs, empire (hertel), kuni’s takeout
not so cheap:
mode, toro, brodo, tempo, hutchs, cecilias
the gate used to be really good, under the new owners its not as good as it used to be, but its still a good place for cheap.

Suggestion for Toro, Tapas style is fun
and I really have to say “Shango” again, I really think its the best restaurant in buffalo. I’ve been there a few times and i’m always left speechless. probably 35 bucks a person though so it really depends on your budget/occasion for going. If its just you going out to get some food… Shango isn’t suggested
I think everyone should try Frog Hair, because apparently Itagaki, 2turboZ and myself along with very few others actually know theres awesome food inside, and its decently priced … oh wait Bladez couldnt finish his dinner there … what a baby
(Food’s absolutely awesome, it’s a bit different as it’s got a subtle caribbean twist, right in your price range. Not allentown though, it’s right near the Basilica.)

Curlys is very good…
Another good one is the Mullberry (I live right next door, and yes the food is AMAZING!) it’s not downtown through. It just off Rt.5 after the porn store. It is in the little neighborhood before the steel plant. AND NO NOT THE GHETTO!The BEST Italian food I have every had.
Best retaurant I’ve been to, yet very pricey. Extremely upscale, very proper. Candle lit dinner for two and a bottle of wine ran me about $200, plus a $40 tip I left ($240 total).
