Looking for Feature-worthy Cars for New Mag

Hello everyone. I’m looking for feature-worthy Nissans for a new magazine. The criteria is simple: performance and NO BLING!!!

If interested, please submit your name, contact info, mod list and one image of your ride to info@motoringunlimited.com

Thank you for your interest. Those selected will be contacted.

What I’m wondering is, “Is your unnamed non-existant magazine worthy of our cars?”

How about some info ?

Check out this car. All go, absolutely no show, whatsoever. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=776885
And it’s a Nissan.

I’d consider my car more performance than bling - but like John said…who are you?

lol…no worries.

The magazine is a new pub for the North American market. Part of our mandate is get away from the “automotive fashion” focus of many other pubs and focus on performance.

We will be looking at the different tuning styles (both pro and amatuers) from three regions: Europe, North America and Japan.

Of course, we will also be reporting on the OE’s current offerings and concepts.

The magazine will also be interviewing race drivers and other performance icons. In our first issue, for example, we interviewed MR. GTR–the man behind the development of the famous Nissan Skyline GTR34. Drivers such as Sean McIntosh (A1GP), Daijiro Yoshihara (Drifting), Robby Unser (drifting), Christian Rado (Scion) and Tyler McQuarrie (Hankook/JIC) are interviewed and will appear in the next 3 issues.

We will also offer up some visibility to some of the world’s largest auto shows like SEMA, the TAS and ESSEN in Germany.

The launch issue and website will be up New Year’s Day. Look for us in the newsstands.

You still haven’t stated the name of your mag…

Also, why is the R34 infamous? That’s a bad thing y’know.

Yes. Infamous: having an exceedingly bad reputation.

Back in the day when the GTRs were racing, they were winning so consistently that they were banned from their series. In fact, a new race series was established specifically so that the GTRs could race–now called Japan Super GT, I think.

So, I guess you can say that the GTRs was infamous from its competitors point of view

Em, was I able to talk my way out of that one? lol…

BTW, the name of the mag is Motoring Unlimited.

hahah that Sentra is awsome

yea i’d love to do that to a car

instead of hating on you for not showing all your credentials let me put my car up for review

my car isn’t anything really special but alot of people seem to like HOME BREW SOHC Turbo’s these days and this one was born and raised in my apartment’s parking lot and friends driveways but never sees the insides of shops based on my wallet disagreeing with their pricing.

Vicious7 — i think i saw north american somewhere in the thread but, is this magazine going to be based as canadian? im taking it that you are from here?.. anyways. if it is a canadian mag. i think that the cars that are featured should be canadian cars, i mean the modders from canada. im just feddup of seeing these punk kids from usa with their riced up civic on front of a mag. hope you get some sweet lookin rides from around canada to feature on your mag.

i know there are some guys on son240 that have some wicked fast and sick performance upgrades on their 240’s. are you looking for everyday cars like ours? or only show cars?

Its Canadian based, but we’ll feature cars regardless of where its from as long as performance is the key ingredient.

One reason why I visit the Canadian forums is specifically to find great examples of Canadian tuned cars. We aren’t really interested in “show cars.” We are interested in cars that are driven not buffed and waxed with a model draped over it.

Feature cars for us is not about the hot pics and a laundry list of parts. Its about the story. We want to talk about the motivation for the build, its history, its failures and successes. We want to see what the average guy can do with a limited budget as opposed to a corporate sponsored marketing vehicle.

what the hell is a laundry list?

that is a laundry list.

^^^^That’s a Gouda Civic

Wait till spring/summer hits, and you’ll have no shortage of the cars you are after. Most of us have stored our vehicles for winter. Look up event pictures from this summer, and you’ll get an idea of what people drive. We have a lot of smart drivers with well tuned machines, but you’d never know till you looked under the hood and fenders. Come time for lapping days and drift days, you’ll be camera happy I’m sure…

Like the guy above said wait till spring/summer my car shud be done by than and I’am only 18 working and going to school so I’am your average guy working only for his car.

Well, I definitely am looking forward to seeing some of these cars. I know that there are some awesome examples of well-built, CANADIAN cars here.

The request for feature cars is so I can plan our shooting when we are in the Toronto/Southern Ontario area. Shooting begins when the snow melts and all the salt is washed away.

Thanks to all who’ve made submissions so far.

how about a semi modded 180sx.

she’s nothing fancy, but it gets the job done

yes that’s what i wanted to hear, glad to hear that it IS based on canadian cars, and not all show cars…i’m 100% sure that you will find what you are looking for by the start of spring, thats when all us nissan lovers come out again wanting to go to meets, n chill at timmies lol cuz we’ve been hibernating for the winter

you should also look on the other car forums of toronto, and the rest of canada, like suburu, honda, toyota, bmw, gtcars, beyond.ca, etc…
