Looking for laptop motherboard...

I need a motherboard for my laptop as mine was fried. It will not power up and I took it to an electronics shop and he verified that it was my motherboard. Now I’m searching ebay and a few say they have known video card problems…couldn’t I just use my video card onto that motherboard? Or is it integrated?

laptop is an emachines m6810.

Usually it’s soldered onto the board on most laptops. If it was video usually it would still power on and give you either:

A. POST codes (beeping)
B. Flashing lights

new laptop

:word:

Agreed, unless you find one super-cheap. And I mean realllllly cheap.

all laptops are different… i know some series of dells you can replace the video card… but most are integrated… i would probably still be cheaper to get a mobo off ebay and replace it…

providing you can do it yourself, you have the day to fuck around with it… and you are organized… it can be a TON of fucking screws

which i’m confident they throw a few extra inside the case, so when you put it back together you are still like WTF, where do these go…

i still dont know where 2 screws go… mother fuckers

emachines MADE laptops?!?! ew.

sell it for parts, buy something like a thinkpad or macbook

a computer isn’t really that important to me, but this pos tower pc i’m using now suuuucks. so i’d like to get this fixed. i can get the mobo for $250 on ebay, and swap it myself. just curious if the video card is integrated or not.

please realize a laptop mobo swap isn’t something you do in 20 min… this could be a day project, maybe with frustration and beer involved…

and it depends on the laptop if its integrated… just assume it is
