Looking for some good 6x9's.............HELP

Im looking to replace the shitty 4.5" speakers in the rear deck of my E36 with some good quality 6x9’s so I can get some better bass and not need to run a subwoofer. When it comes to speakers, I don’t know much of anything about them. What are some recommendations? I dont have any amps in mind since I figure ill get a set of speakers first and then get an amp to match the speaker specs. I will also be getting a set of components as well for the front so feel free to voice your opinions on those as well. MSRP is $620 but Ive found them for $350. Budget for speakers alone is ~$500.

rear speakers are stupid because:

you’re listening to stuff recorded in a 2-channels…
when you go to a concert, the band plays in front of you, not behind you.

so I recommend spend more money on better components up front along with a good 2 channel amp. get a sub for the trunk if you want more bass.

nobody ever notices the rear speakers are missing from a good setup.

if you are looking to save weight and don’t want a sub. then maybe consider getting a couple 4.5 drivers for the back (speakers should only be round IMO) without tweeters and run those off an amp also.
