Shamefully, I always liked the latest version of the Toyota Solara Convertible. White with the v6, that would be fine for me and cheap.
I took a look at one this morning and the interior looked pretty nice. If I can drive a Nissan, I can drive a Ford.
997 vert is a no go for now.
The rationale for no 997vert makes no sense. You would rather have the coupe version… But you already do. So get a C2S vert and call it a day. Plus you can then justify the ridiculous Porsche friendly car seat because it could go in 2 cars.

Why would anyone want to own 2 of the virtually same car just for the sake of being able to go drop top. I agree completely, go with a different flavor that way there is some other differentiating factor about the vehicle.

When I think modern 911, I really only want a coupe. If I were to get a vert, a Boxter would be cool for variety and midengine, but then it doesn’t meet the 4 seat criteria.
My people aren’t descended from giants. He would fit just fine.

NA vs Turbo, AWD vs RWD, Coupe vs Vert… pretty different other than badge and instrumentation.
There are plenty of 2 seat vert’s I’d rather own, but he needs rear seats. Aside from E93 M3 (which I suggested to him last week), I don’t see a lot of cars that fit the bill. Despite what EvoMR says, I can’t see him in a modern muscle car for longer than 1 summer.
On the BMW front, I’d rather go E46 vert than the 4000 lbs E93.
I loved my E46, but having a more modern BMW with iDrive, nav, zillion-way adjustable seats, bluetooth, retractable hardtop, all the new jazz, is much nicer…also a lot more $ however
Verts aren’t suppose to have back seats unless they are classics.
The only way I’d spend $50k on a new mustang is if it came with a flat plane crank.
The M3 vert isn’t terrible but I’m sure it is better as a coupe or sedan.
Classic cars handle terrible whether they are verts or hardtops. Plus they can be a vert with a back seat and still look bomb.
Checks all of the boxes. Just add money. If adding more money, upgrade to F430.
Edit: Nevermind, fuck. Rear seat. I hate rear seats and forget that people need them, but I also hate kids and love cars, so there’s that.
