I feel the same but for different reasons. Call it getting old, but if I had the cash and credit I do now 10 years ago I’d be driving a twin turbo Gallardo and a GTR for a winter car.

I am also getting married in October LOL
Yes, I purchased insurance on the ring - 140 something a year.
Dating my girl for 10 years, she deserved over 1ct for putting up with my shit.
I’m getting married October 2012 also…but thinking of taking the Vegas route sooner. Then whoever wants to go can go. This shit is wayyyy to expensive.
I’m perfectly OK with dating someone for 50+ years. Marriage is retarded.
A lot of states have common law marriages. I think in NC, after 7 years in the same house, we would be legally married anyways.
The tax breaks are nice too
What’s the difference in not marrying, vs just dating anyways? In both cases, you’ve devoted your life to the woman you love.
Chances are that she isn’t
x2. Plus if you’re going to “date” someone for years why not just have a cheap wedding a make it official. Lot’s of tax incentives to being wed.
Spoken like a true believer in the “If you want to be with me then be with me” policy. I support this.
Too bad NYS doesn’t recognize common law marriage. And you have absolutely no rights (medical decisions especially) when you aren’t married.
DOT.
Why would I want to invest into an institution that in this country is prone to fail 51% of the time? Not only that, but be legally bound to another human being, who by social norms as of late have not grasped the whole “soul mate” concept?
I’ll take a girlfriend of 50 years over an ex-wife of 50 years.
Sounds like you’re simply afraid of commitment, and scared to fail at marriage.
Ring = You Own Her.
My parents are divorced and I know I’m not gonna marry my gf, suck my dick?
I think he is afraid of marrying a fat chick.
It’s my bday, I don’t want to argue about dating fat chicks. I’m for scoring hot chicks, drinking beer and racing motorcycles.
Went to Scanlon’s again for the wedding band. I am very pleased with there service, quality, and pricing!!
Highly recommend this place
I’m looking into this myself and stopped in to Zales at the Galleria last night just to get an idea of pricing/looks. The 2 ladies behind the counter were nice enough but were pretty retarded when it came to details. One kept offereing to “be my hand model because they look different on a finger”. Way to try to relive your youth all the time…
I do also like the idea of holding it/looking it over before I purchase. Although I feel like they’re going to overcharge like a motherfucker for something that’s so so because they’re a chain store in the mall.
I might try Scanlon locally, also read on a separate website about the merits of buying online (aka Blue Nile as bing mentioned)

Just went to get our wedding bands from S & E Jewelers on the Blvd (by Kenmore Ave.). Paid $424 for both bands. Looks briefly at engagement rings and you can definitely get a better deal there than say Jared’s. If you wind up going let me know and you can tell them I referred you.
Old post, but x2. They were awesome to deal with. I’ve sent a bunch of my friends there, and they’ve all had a similar, great experience.
