Looking to get a 6 point cage built in my 91 hatch any sugestions?

I wanna get a cage built in my ef.preferably a 6 point.i found a pre-bent kit in jeggs for 300 shipped…Not a bad price but if some one around can do it cheaper id rather go that route…Or even if some one can bend me a main hoop and two door rails i can do the rest…Any sugestions would help…Thanks

Synapse does cages. I had mine done at Capital District Truck Center. They can bend you the pipes too if you wanna put it together.

either of those 2 or Hank or Boxersix can prolly hook ya up

Cheaper than $300? Wish I could cage my car for that cheap.

$300 is just the material…there still alot more work. You are looking @ $600+ to have a cage installed in the car.

good luck

haha you dont want to fuck around trying to install the cage yourself, i dont know how you will get a cage installed for 300 bucks, but let me know

I was thinking he just wanted the bent piping for 300.

Fitment on these are generally dumpy, But with your budget, do it up.

EWS nono :lol Most sanctioning race bodies don’t even allow that material for cage construction. DOM is the way to go, unless you have the ability to stress relieve a 4130 chassis and can use the weight reduction advantage.

$300 is pulling teeth for something that’s meant to save your neck. No way could I afford to build and certify a cage for someone for that cost. Don’t shortcut a cage, it’s one thing your life may at some point depend upon. At the very least buy a poor fitting AP/S+W cage and have someone who can weld properly modify and install it into your car.

A good cheap cage is like a bolt on body drop kit. They dont exist for good reason.

What is the car going to be used for? Projected speed? Is it nessesary, or just for show?

well eventualy it will be meant for speed…cars coming off the road motor is getting rebuilt and super charged…Im not expecting to get a 100 dollar cage made.i dont mind spending what it takes just want it done right…
