Closed yesterday, been over there pretty much every waking moment since. got the kitchen floor torn up and the ceilings painted in most rooms. Next step, paint the walls then get started refinishing the hardwood and tiling the kitchen/bathroom. Will post some before and after pictures once everything’s moved in.

I too am on the other side of sheridan in the town and had a terrible time closing. I had to sign everything twice and needed to come up with
6k(that I did not have) in less than 24hrs for the second closing because of a “paperwork mistake”…
Small update, painted the kitchen and re-did the floor with ceramic tile. Looks 10x better than it did before. Pics:
It was a bit of a hack job and not entirely level in a lot of spots, but you can’t really tell unless you’re looking for the uneven areas. All in all I’m happy we did it ourselves, and I now know some of the pitfalls to avoid next time around.
EDIT: having trouble uploading the pictures since imgur is blocked at my work. Any sites that people normally use for uploading pictures?

Finally had a chance to upload these from home, I’ve been over at the house doing work nonstop these past few weeks. Since these pictures have been taken we’ve grouted between them (first picture is without grout, second with) and put some protective clear coat on and it looks much nicer. I’ve also had the appliances delivered and should be ready to move in next weekend, so once everything is said and done I’ll be able to post some before and after pictures.

I’m assuming you mean the second picture, that one goes into the hallway which leads to the two downstairs bedrooms, one bathroom, and the living room. The door you see in the bottom right corner of it is to the staircase to the second floor bedroom.
I was just noticing that there seemed to be a large “step” where the tile ended. Maybe it was / is an optical conclusion.
