As long as the car isn’t really slow, i would have body work done first.
I’m not a person who tracks my car, nor do i street race so as long as my cars are reasonably quick it’s fine for me.

i think handling is more important than speed. plus a lowered S13 with rims looks much better than stock.
what’s the main purpose of your car though? daily driven racer? drift car? drag setup? that could sway opinions.

Myself, while I do want my car to look decent, speed always wins in the end. I built my car so I could enjoy driving the way I like to drive. Fast. I didn’t build it to impress other people. And nothing beats the look on some peoples face after they get their ass handed to them by an ugly car.

Nah, it’s not that I don’t want my car to look nice, but if I only had the money or means for one or the other, I would go for performance. If all goes well I’ll save enough by spring for new paint and a new turbo. And I may be a weirdo but using my car to pick up chicks is the last thing I would do with it. What if you sell the car? Will she drop you like a hot rock? Maybe that’s just me.
