My dog got out a few years ago and the amherst PD animal control picked him up. If you haven’t already checked with them do that. Did he have his dog tags on?
good luck in the search

I grew up with a beagle and they tend to escape because they’re hunting dogs. It makes for some very stressful nights when they return late from one of their hunting trips.
It’s so much easier now with my shepherd because he’s a herding breed. If we leave him outside his only goal is to find us, not take off and hunt for rabbits. If I’m inside and my wife is outside all he does it keep going back and forth between us because he has this bred in need to try to get is back in the same place.
One nice thing about walking around williasmsviile looking for a dog, you see where all the nice cars live lol.
Glad you found the dog. The searching makes you feel overwhelmed and hopeless very quickly.

Werd. My shephard/mix/thing used to get out all the time until I practically had to calk the back yard to seal it tight enough to keep the little houdini in. She never went far though and came sprinting to me when we saw each other. Little PITA…
Ask your vet about home again chips
:tup:good to hear man!
