Where did all these kids go wrong?? When I 1st started going/driving to the lot(years back now lol), I had nothing but respect for the older guys that have been there for years. Never sped through the parking lot, never spun my tires like an idiot, nor did I ever blast my stereo like an ass clown. It seems respect has gone out the window with the majority of younger people now days, and its complete bullshit. Maybe its the way I was raised or something(military background), but WTF…

Yeah. I remember going there with my FATHER back in the day and we always checked out the muscle cars. It was cool, kind of like a guptills car show but not really organized, people just show up on (back then it was wednesday) nights.

Both QFT. There used to be a lot more respectable cars there. I grew up across the street from it, and started walking over there when I was 10 or 11 to see all the cars. Never used to be a loud music blasting burnout fest. There are still nice cars there now, don’t get me wrong, but the whole culture has changed drastically.
Those muscle cars that you guys used to see back in the day still exist, they just don’t go to the scumbag gathering at McDonalds. I know a few of the owners and they say they don’t want to be affiliated with the trash that goes there (not saying everyone but a vast majority). I agree and don’t blame them one bit.
Doing wheelies on backroads out in Duanesburg is different than driving around the lot like Vin Diesel IMO. Then again what would I know, I don’t own a mustang that doesn’t run and probably never will nor do I drive a Ford F150 with a bunch of SHIT in the bed of it :lol

i think the problem stems from immature acting young morons personally. i was taught a certain level of respect as a kid. you didn’t fuck with people that were older because they would kick your ass. now you’ve got young dipshits acting out of line and doing whatever they feel. i can see why the older crowd doesn’t like the lot anymore. there are too many idiots coming out runing it for everybody that deserves a place to chill. :Idiots
Yeah, and back then you would get your ass whooped for stepping out of line and nobody would say anything. My parents used to beat my ass when I did stupid shit and I am glad they did.
If you lay a finger on anyone (even your own kid) nowadays you get your name plastered all over the media and thrown in jail. So it gives kids the opportunity to act like idiots and not get punished for it.
