You need to do some reading on NY State inspection and emissions laws then. It’s very very EASILY inpected in NY State, even with an OBDII plugin and link to the DMV. Seems like it sits a ton lower and just as far back as the stock VQ.

Justin, sell all your crap and buy Rich’s if the insurance company decides to take it from him. Just needs some bodywork…

BUT…this>that

First off…you know I dont know how to read so that was a low blow and I do not appreciate it.

Second…I was always under the impression that when a car is 96+ and obd2 in NY, that the engine had to be something that would have come in it from the factory.

I like it

I have always been under the impression that if you do change the motor in NYS the only law out side the plug in for emissions is that the motor must be from the same year or newer.

It’d be weird to see that car drive by and hear the rumble from an lsx…in a good kind of way.

badass

The car should be completed and in a booth at SEMA. Unfortunately, Hinson is the one doing the kits, so the engineering will be suspect at best. But, their shit at least works.

That’s correct Brad, it also has to match the VIN (easy with LS1 edit) on the car when you plug in, and have all the “original” emissions equipment. It’s fairly easy to do. There are a couple other small loopholes to jump through, but I went through the process when we thought the e46 had a blown engine after several check engine lights and running issues.

PCM, block vin dosn’t have to match car vin

It’s an LS2
