I’m trying to get my yahoo email account to work with my Mac mail on my dock. I’ve watched 5 different video’s on youtube and it still wont work. Can anyone help me out?

Don’t you need to pay for yahoo mail plus or an elevated level to do external (non web) email client access?
I’m a yahoo plus subscriber because I use pop3 forwarding and also like the disposable email feature. $20 a year.
Ohhh yeah…I forgot yahoo was an asshole like that. That might just be to push the email out to you…You should be able to set it up to receive it.
I’ll try it right now, but I’m pretty sure they require the upgraded service. Will report back in a few minutes.

No dice for me. Tried 3 different pop server settings.
There is an imap server I found but it’s not listed in official Yahoo documentation so at your own risk. I won’t submit my password to find out if this is valid or not. 
imap.next.mail.yahoo.com for incoming
smtp.next.mail.yahoo.com for outgoing

I just updated all my Yahoo accounts last week for free since I work for them.
Don’t use Yahoo use GMAIL 
I use both. Yahoo is my primary other than my UB address for work.
I have 3 gmail accounts I think. Only 2 are in use though.
I actually prefer yahoo mail myself.

Nope 12 of us in Cali currently - more coming up in June. We won’t start coming back until the middle of July. Co-workers with family are going home first.
Free Yahoo accounts dont support standard POP/IMAP, making them useless. Odd how they do however support Push on iPhone/iPod Touch.
Get a GMail account and start the switch.
I just really don’t want to have another acct and i’m not going to pay for email. Oh well guess Ill just have to click on the tab to check my email still. Thanks for all the help.
