Tough to put a price tag on something without knowing what’s wrong with it. Could be something simple like needing a format & fresh OS install. Could be bad hard drive. Could be bad logic board though this sounds unlikely. Having dealt with this generation of Macbook pro in quantity I can say they were a pretty solid build.

$20.00!!!

Yeah it’s a solid computer if I honestly had the time I would bring it in and have them update it and see what’s going on with it I don’t have the time first 200 take it

Looks to be in good shape. No spills? Was there anything that happened just before it stopped booting? I’d probably be interested in running some diagnostics on it.

I had one of those a few years back. Great computer. Sounds like the Gpu is going bad. Should be easy fix for the mac guys in the eastern hills mall

Some of these pre uni-body had a GPU recall, wonder if that’s the issue here and whether or not they’d still cover the repair.

ehh depends how good you can sweet the geniuses at the galleria. If you know what your talking about going in most of the time they will take good care of you. If the recall was not done to that machine it should still be covered… Im pretty sure mine did that at one point but it was still under applecare.

Edit where did you get that car decal…

Lol found this website that does any car like that I can pm u tomorrow have to find it

Sweet, would like to get my old cars all done!

150 bottom doller

Love the mk2 decal!

What year did you purchase this? How fast is the processor? I’m interested but I need to know if its a couple years old or 6 years old, lol.

I would assume it’s officially called a Mid/Late 2007 15" MBP. It should be a 2.2 C2D 15" model.

These models have logic board issues resulting from the 8600M GT. To the best of my knowledge they no longer support these. The warranty was extended to 5 years, but it is likely older than that. The odds are the logic board needs replacement and is not salvageable.

That said, the price is about right.

Lol thanks I will find the guy who made this he can make just about anything still haven’t sourced the decal

It’s not a logic board issue if need be I can start it up see the apple logo, and a spinning circle than goes to black screen , just contacted apple and u can pay 300$ to have everything replaced that needs replacing on these I just don’t feel the need to have two laptops so if ur a computer wiz u could have a nice quality product in great shape

If you can’t determine from the pics and a1126 what era this is you probably don’t want to delve into murky waters. Macs are kinda niche and quirky to diagnose honestly.

Getting an apple logo doesn’t clarify whether it’s a logic board issue or not. Their repair center (apple direct not 3rd party anyhow) does repairs based on tiers, depending on what’s wrong they put it in a tier and the price reflects the level of rebuild needed. Where did you get the $300 quote from and how did they quote you a price without knowing what’s wrong? I’m not saying your asking price isn’t reasonable, I just don’t want someone that has no clue about resolving the issue buying this then getting mad and giving you a bad name. That’d be a lose lose situation.

ZOMG knows his macs, I can tell he’s been around the block a bit.

Actually contacted a apple representative and they said for 300 dollers they will send it in and literally replace anything that is wrong with it and get it up to spec

I told you stop downloading all that porn
