I agree with everything but Rotary/Wankel. The PCV system on the rotary actually is venting the pressurized oiling system. I wont even get into the fact that it doesn’t really have a crank or crankcase either.

A real MAF can be used at any pressure. Don’t assume your MAF is an actual mass flowmeter either. Some are much cruder than others. Most simply do not have the sensing range for boost, it’s not that they don’t work its just they are optimized for ambient pressure signal to noise ratio.

If V.E. is known as a function both engine speed and pressure. a Map and engine speed system will work fine. This is how Mitsubishi likes to do it.
