i’m trying to narrow down possibilities on why my 90 s13 wont start

i read a few posts and i noticed that the MAFS maybe an issue

i know i’m posting alot and may be a pain in the ass, but i am a s13 newbie and finished a bunch of work on my newly acquired s13 and would like to finally put her on the road! Thanks!!

Ok, the MAFS is your Mass Air Flow Sensor.

It is located along your intake tract. It is the mechanism (silver) that is just before the airbox (and bolts to it). There is one electrical connector/wire leaving the MAFS, make sure this connector is clean & tight.

Be very careful with your MAFS, but carefully inspect it’s condition & cleanliness inside (is it gunked up, oil-covered?).

Good luck with your car man.

Your car will start and run without a MAFS…

Won’t Run well at all but will at least start and idel.

thanks for the help guys

Might not idle well either, but it should start.

just unplug the MAF when you find it and try to start the car. If it starts, new MAF time.
