Major Changes...

:dunno: was i a dick?

Is Cisco going to hit you up with a technical interview? That could be the downfall of your mainly programming experience, I would definitely start reviewing some intermediate network concepts. What would the position be at Cisco?

Don’t fucking tell me you wouldn’t be nervous sitting there w/ the CXO of Cisco. There’s nothing wrong w/ being nervous. It’s how you handle the nerves and the pressure that matters. Just like poker you can be a total wreck inside, but if it never shows and you make all the right moves you win.

Probably, and probably. But that’s fine. It’s a learning experience. I had the first interview but it was more background getting to know me but not technical. When they throw me in a room w/ the Sr. Engineers I’m toast. But oh well. And this is just one of the two roles I have a chance at.

Oh, and the Z/28 is sold. I should have the Z06 on Fri or Sat.

good luck!

all i’m saying is that i’m much much much much more nervous when i have a volatile production server about to pop than i am talking to a suit.

that’s all…

:boink

Ttiwwop

here’s a mistake i made in an interview, i imediately answerd questions out of fear. I heard its better to sit there and think for a minute than just come up with random made up nonsense. Don’t worry if you do bad in the interview either. on the average people spend less than 24 hours in interviews in their life. Something you only do that much, its hard to be good at it.

where’d you hear that? damn… thats not much… i’d say a common interview is 45 minutes of BS’ing… i’ve done that at least 15 times.

One more thing, don’t talk too much either… BIG turn off, especially to my boss.

You’re in the BEST position for a job interview, having a job that’s solid. That allows you to be interviewing them as much as they’re interviewing you. Nervous is normal, but you’re in a great place, enjoy it, roll with it, thrive on it.

some people stay in one job their whole life some people have 10, it bablances out to around 24.

I could see that being true. You tend to change jobs alot in the first say, 10 yrs of your career, give or take, but eventually you get complacent and ride it out. Not much time spent interviewing in the last 20 yrs of your career if you’re lucky.

…I sold my Z/28 Monday and I just picked this up around noon:

For those who don’t know it’s a…

'02 Electron Blue Z06
Cartek 348 (440RWHP)
19" CCW 505As

And tons of other things (suspension, roll bar, cooling etc) that I’m too pumped to sit here and type.
