so i got a killer offer to go work for my old company i accept, went in to the office yesterday to give my notice and the pres of company was like if you cant give me your full 2 weeks then just get out now… i only gave him 12 days not 14… i guess thats the thanks i get for being a project manager for a year and setting up the intire wireless network for the steel tower and washington plaza … including air bridge between several buildings in pittsburgh… oh well christmas vaction for me and i start back to work at the begining of the year

Actually i have a pretty broad range of telephony and bandwidth training… i started with fiber, and digital pbx stuff then went to this last company and did all of the wireless and pots, plain old telephone service, stuff for him

What a dick. I hope they need something urgent done within the next 12 days and they can’t find anyone to do it.
They do that where I work too. You go to discuss your other offer and they escort you out, you don’t even get back to your desk. THey send and HR splotch to come get your personal belongings. Forewarned is forearmed at least in my case.

I agree and had the same situation with my old job. I was giving him a full two weeks and my old asshole of a boss was like WTF you said you applied for part time. I was liek I did and they had a full time opening. He got pissed I said I tell you want pay me double what you do now and I will stay, he gave me a dirty look. I told him to fuck off and if he couldn;t understand I was bettering my life then he didn;t need a two week notice and just stopped going to work. Called up my curent employer and satred 8 days early.
Wow dude, that’s a helluva tough bridge you’re refering to in your story if that didn’t burn it. Heheh. Gotta love those oppurtunities for conflict where you come out on top…
it has nothing to do with burning the bridge… i was not happy at that place and i could have given him a 3 month notice and i think it would have wnet down the same way… the only reason i gave him a 12 day notice and not a 14 is because then i would have had 2 w-2 for 3 days of work… besides if you are going to be petty about 2 days then i dont want to work for you anyway
