what’s the max boost you can run on a completely stock RB20 set-up without detonating the engine? like, would i be safe raising boost a point or two?
Dude, leave it alone. LoL
What is your current set-up?
Still ceramic turbo?
you can safely run between 11-14 lbs
correct me if im wrong boys
everything is bone stock, leaving it alone is what i’m thinking unless i can safely turn it up a pound or two
how many lbs is it running now
it’s running at 7lbs right now
How are you running 7psi? Completley stock I have been running in excess of 12psi. With the SMIC and even now with the FMIC.
ALL stock.
Had a bc on it, pushed her to 16psi, heard detonation, back her down to 14psi. Then learned about ceramic turbo’s blowing up over 14psi. Back to stock. leave it alone lol. 10-12 psi is good.
Watch your a/f’s though. Get a wideband.
i’m rockin’ a wideband already. i thought the stock boost was 5 lbs on these, but my gauge is telling me 7. possibly an aftermarket wastegate then? well, i should be good for 10-11 psi then i guess.
No man. My shit is all stock lol.
RB25 had regulator for 7psi iirc.
Maybe you have RB25 turbo already? With RB25 regulator?
Supposed to change the RB25 regulator to the RB20 regulator.
mine ran 10-11 stock. same thing tried to boost to 14 did not like it so it stayed stock
k, lol, next question, how the f@ck do i hook up a bings boost controller? just the manual one
you don’t lol.
unplug wastegate…pretty straight forward
lmao, naww, i like my engine too much for that.
how do you tell if it’s a 25 turbo on the engine though?
i dunno lol
whats the safe number to run a sr motor at every day then? around the same as the rb?
