Parents are looking to buy a new '06 or '07 Mazda Tribute V6 AWD, haven’t had time to research anything but does anyone know any bad things or even good things about them?
They are getting a hell of a good deal on it too from Budd Bear in Washington, sticker is like 28K and they are dropping to 20k and giving them 3.5k for their shitty Mercury Villager on trade.

they are good, when i sold fords, the esacape was the hottest thing we had for a while. its a great vehicle, go for it.
Look at 07 hyundia santa fe… its not to bad
no dont… hyundai is the most horrible car comp ever… i tow about 4 of them a week… most by far of any company out there. they suck… yes they have a good warrenty but why have a warrenty when it breaks and its in the shop 3 months out of a year… i had an 07 with a bad tranny 870 miles about 3 weeks ago… they suck… never would i even think of owning one of these… get the tribute and be done with it… period… or anything nissan… i have only towed one nissan in my life and it was like 5+ years old.
I did some research and the v6 is a ford motor, and parents decided against that…my mom wanted a crv but thought this was a really good deal, so i told her why not just wait and get a crv cuz that is what she wanted from the get go…the new '07 crv looks pretty good too, i think its better vehicle for that price range, a lil under powered but i think it will be just fine for my mom
If you can get past the styling, the CRV is a decent vehicle. Drives much better than the previous generation.
the mazda tribute is the same as the ford escape right?? my company buys alot of people ford escapes for company vehicles and I have driven a few of them before. In my opinion they ride and drive near terrible, you feel every bump and you feel like you are just sitting on top of it, you don’t really feel like you are one with the machine when you are driving. I like the jeep liberty alot better than the escape, haven’t driven a a crv or rav4.
