i purchased a turbosmart in cabin manual boost controller for my sr powered s14.
its a redtop, with a couple little mods.
i installed the T piece with the arrow on the line that goes from the throttle body to the connection on the wastegate actuator. the unit itself is mounted under my dash.
the first question i have is concerning the instructions from turbosmart
Quote:
before making any adjustment the boost dial will need to be fully closed (anti-clockwise) and then set at four turns out (four turns clockwise).
does this mean that the base adjustments should be made from four turns out and increase the turns to the right? that seems too high to me.
next, when i drive around with it closed (anti-clockwise) i notice it spools sooner, however it hits about 9psi then drops back down to 7, even with the boost controller closed.
when i increase the boost (3 turns) the car hits about 10psi but then slowly drops down while pinning it. i also noticed that when i have it open and you give it gas at full throttle the car will pop and hesitate a bit while accelerating.
can anyone help?
