manual boost controller

i need some help.

i just got a turbonetics manual boost controller for my SR until i get something electronic. it says i have to hook it up to the wastegate but i dont have an aftermarket wastegate. how do i hook this up to a stock SR? will it still work?

the part # on this controller is 10402-25

just plumb it inline of the wastegate signal.

Coming off the turbo, to the wastegate actuator canister is a vacuum line.

splice the boost controller into that line

so there is a stock external wastegate or is it internal?

It’s internal.

Do what MR200 said, thats all i did, and works good …very good

T the vacuum line going to the wastegate actuator

right on thanks guys. the one i picked up has the vaccum lines, t-fittings and all the hardware. also has a dial to mount in the car for easy boost control.

hmm … and the dial is hooked up how?

Is this one of the ones with a long ass vacuum line?

You really want the vacuum lines to be as short as possible.

But, odds are they probably took that into consideration when designing it.

on the turbo on the right of this pic you can see the actuator can (rust coloured cylinder) and the vacuum nipple at the top of it.

that line goes to the nipple up and to the right of it on the actual turbo.

Just make sure the MBC is pointing the right way

yeah the line will probably be betwee 2 and 3 feet from the turbo to where i mount it in the car. this is just temporary until i get my AEM EMS this summer, from spring to july i want to be boosting tho hehe.
thanks for all the help guys
