Manual boost controller install.

Set up:
garrett turbo
turbo logic mbc
tial external 38mm gate

So I have a turbo logic manual boost controller and the instruction manual frickin sucks. I began searching on how to run the vacuum lines and am thoroughly confused. The turbo doesn’t have a fitting on the housing to attach the vacuum line so my first question is where do I get my source from? I know I have to tap into something that is before the throttle plate but do I want it as close to the turbo as possible or do I want it close to the throttle body? I’ve read arguments for both. The next question is once I get the source line into the bottom of the boost controller does the line from the side go to the side or top of the wastegate? The instruction say leave the top port open on the gate except if you have a boost controller, but someone said that’s for electronic only.

bottom of the controller goes from the intake manifold as the source. If the turbo did have a port on it you could use it for your boost source yes, or from the intercooler piping. its easiest to just T off something from the IM tho

side of controller goes from there to the wastegate actuator or side of the wastegate

Deff don’t need that extra fitting on the top of your wastegate either. Just use your intake manifold as the source and the side of the wastegate for your other vac line
