Both parties have issues this year but here is a little fun fact for you Democratic fans this year. EVERYONE knows our economy is in the shitter. EVERYONE blames Bush. He had quite a bit to do with it, yes. But do you know where it started? Obv. not if you are constantly bashing Republicans for our current state of economy.
Bill Clinton started the downhill trend. Sure he got our economy into a surplus but that was due to the very law that would affect us negatively later on. He passed a law, that in laymans terms allowed people to get credit for homes, cars, credit cars, that normally would not have been able to get the credit. This law more or less forced banks to have to give the credit to these people. Then, it made him look great. People we spending money, people had jobs, our economy was at that point awesome. Now, years later, we are dealing with this decision because all of the people who got the bad credit are finding out that they cant actually afford what they bought. It is taking its toll on banks, taxpayers and our economy.
So both parties are to blame here. Clinton for starting this whole thing and Bush for adding to the problem and trying to fix it.
As far as my choice in voting for McCain. Obama, could be classified as a socialist. He wants to let government have some control of our free market system. Including healthcare insurance. No matter what you think, healthcare insurance is a business. And what is the goal of all business that is for-profit? To make a profit. Honestly, I get upset when I hear either one of them refer to it as healthcare. Our HEALTHCARE is NOT the issue. Us being able to pay for it is. Our healthcare is great. The reason it is so great is because hospital and institutions compete with one another to make a profit. If they didnt have to compete then the quality of healthcare would go down drastically. Sure you would now be able to have health insurance while the country suffers shitty treatment and LONG LONG waits on major surgery.
We have a deficit because of the spend spend spend mentality of the Republican party. However, the mortgage thing is because nothing was done years ago and it’s finally catching up.
The reasons the Republicans are blamed is because they have been in office for 8 years and we are in a dismal shape. That is also why this is hurting McCain in the polls.
What about McCain’s regulating of Wall Street? He has spent his entire career stating he is Mr Deregulator and now he is on the bandwagon of reform.
True, but the Democrats haven’t been penny-pinchers either. The Republicans get blamed for the last 8 years but a majority of those years were under a Democratic congress. The president (and therefore his party) takes the credit and blame for politics in this country because Americans are too stupid to know how the system works. It’s everyone’s fault.
I’m a huge fan of laissez-faire, but the current market NEEDS regulation to keep this from happening. If you partially regulate capitalism, you need to totally regulate capitalism or else it’ll destroy itself.
And as always 100% of this can be avoided if the American people weren’t stupid.

My grandparents tell me stories about how they used to look up to their presidents as leaders. Man that must be nice. But for that to happen, you need a leader…with leadership experience.

One of my problems with McCain and Obama for that matter. They don’t “appear” to be a leader. McCain looks a foot in the grave. He says crazy shit like My Friends and blinks a lot. He just looks like death. Obama is intelligent but lacks experience. Both are politicans so they just lie.

to be honest, none of them are qualified in my opinion, i think McCain is overqualified, simply because hes gone this long wihtout actually being a president, i think its past his time. Obama, Biden, Palin, all retards. We need a leader not some idiots.
