Im just woundering if anyone is running a set of megan STREET SERIES coilovers on an s13. if so can you please post pics of your car and the full suspension specs (spring rates, etc)
I was also wondering about the comfort of the ride and if theres any other brands recommended for a STREET SERIES coilover. Ive done a google search on a couple coilover setups but I didnt get the first hand information I was looking for, please help.
Thanks.
The megans are a good coilover but don’t think its going to ride like your oem setup. You will notice a drastic change in the harshness of the ride over bumpy terrain (read: pot holes).
If you want a serious STREET coil over I believe the TEIN super streets provide a nicer ride and still allow you do drop it like its hot.
I’m running the Megan track series, and I have no issues on the street. It is substantially harsher than stock, but if you soften up the dampening it’s actually not that bad (I run mine on the street 1 click off the hardest setting). Your car will be much more responsive than stock as well.
i run the tracks i have no complaints. hard ride but meh. also megan coilovers are made in the same factory as the apexi n1’s so they cant be that bad if apexi wants twice as much.
I’m of the same mind. Really, if you want to run coils, you have to accept that they will not ride smooth as stock. If you’re not willing to pay that price, look into a spring/shock setup instead.
