Looking for coilovers for an s13

Hey im looking to get coilovers for my car not sure what brand to get. I want to still have an alright ride but want to be able to lower it alot. I was thinking about getting megan does anyone know if they are good. If anyone can help me out that would be great. Thanks lucas

My guess is you’re looking at the cheaper coilovers since you mentioned megan.

The two brands most popular in the club are in fact D2 and Megan, simply because to replace these if anything goes wrong, it’ll still be cheaper than buying a set of FLT-A2.

The megans look like a very nice coilover, I have seen them first hand, they come with 8/6 kg springs, so the ride will be pretty harsh, but I’m running 9/7s and i’m very happy with my setup.

The lower part of the megans in the front is machine welded together, the D2s look like CNC’d aluminum, so the D2’s look slightly better in that sense, but strength wise i don’t think it makes any difference.

For the money, go for them without thinking twice.

^I second that.

I saw another brand when i went to ricefest (Import Fest is what its officially called) last year. I’m not 100% of the name but something like Hokeo or something like that i think. They were really reasonably priced, anybody know what im talking about? And maybe provide some info?

for the most part people have good experience with D2 except for the warranties that we are working on right now.

megans are going to be popular, they are well built and Megan is getting a decent rep.

the Megans have welded steel hardware, the D2’s have CNC’d aluminum that makes the D2’s much much lighter and i doubt you will find that a problem in any regard.

the Megans just came out and although many people on here have them most have not yet installed.

you cant go wrong either way for the price…

when you buy them make sure you buy from someone who can give you the proper post-purchase support in the event of any mishaps.

I have had my megans in for about 2 weeks… great coilover… ride is quite harsh but it’s livable… just soften the dampering level when you go highway driving.
