I’m not even going to bother reading all this crap. After reading page one I can tell this is going to turn into another 10+ page crapfest of people who don’t understand the law and want desperately to prove to themselves that this couldn’t happen to them.
Get a clue. On the day the accident happened I said this kid could be facing jail time and no one believed it.
They still didn’t believe it when he was charged, and once he was convicted it changed to, “this is so wrong” blah blah blah.

3 times 12 months equal 36 months… i think the courts should start granting out months in prison from now on instead of years…

Mejak plead guilty knowing very well that he could receive 8 years in prison for the two charges as well as an additional year for the violation of an ACD. The law in this case is clearly defined and he accepted responsibility for what he did knowing the potential for punishment. Obviously he felt as if he caused the death of these two people so I don’t understand why people would say he does not deserve this when he obviously believes he does. Was his punishment severe? Maybe, but given the likelihood of re offending(one previous charge as well as an AUO(aggravated unlicensed operation which in this case could have been upgraded to a class a misdemeanor) while awaiting trial) his punishment could have been worse.
