Here’s the real deal. 1. friends should never do deals together. Joey asked me about the deal. I said no way. a 98 accord for a 96 civic. with about the same millage, i said no way. his friend persisted. I said the only way i wouls do it if the guy would come hear and check it out together. (joey will tell you he has had other offers on different cars to trade and with my guidence said no,) We set up a date to meet to check out the cars. Together! I personally told him about the tranny several times, he said no big deal, made reference to a friends car doing the same thing and just kind of blew it off, I offered him a test drive and he said no he knows the honda’s really well. We told him that the engine light was on and i put two 02’s in and joey had no cel. I have to say we told him that we bought this car as a beater. (come on 250,000, what do you expect?)
He complained to joey about a screw in the mirror, door lock did not operate properly,and the cruise. Ya know i must say as a father i try and guide my son in a good direction. I was aprehensive about the whole deal. I personally have sold hundreds of cars in my lifetime and have always have been up front about problems.I have seen buyers remorse before and this is classic! You are facadid by the deal and then reality sets in. I am sorry that the tranny went and if i had known i would of never traded. I have seen those trannys last a long time doing what that was doing, I was totally up front about the tranny.If he wasn’t such a dick about the whole thing and asked for help instead of dising somebody on a forum.i would of considered helping.
