Has david had a bad past experience with highschool image and pride?
Gabe, someone once said that a person only has 3 chances to start a new life and image. once when the enter high school, once if/when they enter post secondary and once more when they leave post secondary.
Dont care too much about being flashy at prom. Its nice and all but if your only intent is to be cool, dont give it a second thought if you’re off to better places in the future.
I’m probably gonna end up driving my echo to prom, and even though in my WTB thread i sound horribly desperate not to, it’ll be something i’ll look back on and laugh.
Still though, showing up to prom with a nissan convoy in tow would upgrade you to baller status till the end of the semester.
haha i went to prom in the suzuki esteem cuz my car had probs lol i was disappointed…but meh its all good…i didnt even go to my after party cuz i was too tired from running around all day in the city
Too true… I figure I’m just going to park my car, and walk there. Cracking a bottle of champagne after, and a few sips of scotch prior. Perhaps I’ll catch up with you lads afterwards. :R
i have to agree with david. i think it seems poser-ish…seeing as he doesn’t own any of those cars that would show up…it’s like trying to be bad ass in the passenger seat.
oohh common guys…dont rain on his parade…so then would renting a limo be “poser’ish” since you dont own a limo…especially the ppl who rent the big suv limos that are “pimp”…or the people who rent those exotic cars for prom or what not…its just all in good fun
its all about making a statement and standing out…everyone does it…pretty much…for prom
lets make this happen for gabe. i did the same thing during one of the meets. because i didnt have my gtr ready i brought down 6 skylines with me to the meet just so that i can make an entrance even without my own skyline.
who knows … maybe in 5 years i’ll be married and driving around my family in my stock nissan quest :hmm
either way … if i were you gabe and wanted to make an “show-offey” entrance, you better stick with ONE type of car. so if you’re going to roll in with a bunch of GTR’s, than do that or a bunch of 300’s, do that but don’t just roll in with a whole bunch of random nissans. that’ll just look like a car meet trying to crash your prom and won’t have the same effect as if you get 10-15 cars of the same model roll in together.
Renting a limo or renting an exotic car is a different story. It’s accepted as norms to do that for proms or semi-formals. But asking a car club to roll in for him just to look cool is way out of the line.
Sure it’s about making a statement and standing out. But it’s definitely not about crossing the line by asking other people to do favours for you just for the benefit of one person.
Grow up people. Showing off to high school kid is completely immature. I know this from my days in high school.

and it doesnt appear that most ppl think its way out of line…plus…hes asking a favour yea…askking…not telling…or pointing a gun to your head
when ppl ask favours…some of us have no problem helping out, because if ever we need n e help or are in trouble…everybodies got eachothers back…without any of this attitude

lol, prom is just a huge dissapointment anyway, there is so much hype building up to it and then… nothing, a bullshit fancy dinner with the same losers you had to look at everyday for the last 4 years.
