Mid-Engine Corvette C8 2020

Give it 10 years and there won’t be a 1 to the left of the 2.

I’ll be happy to drive my slow C8 around in the year 2035 when all the new cool kids are driving their much faster C11

I do wonder how long it will take for the prices to plummet on used ones.

Got to figure between the chip problem as well as covid preventing them from dumping these out the doors… there has to be a lower production number available currently. By next year this number should probably straighten out. Unreal prices though. I’d still prefer the NSX like I said before with paying higher prices like that.

Wish I had a Florida plate, fucking state inspections.

Just tell them the chute is in case you get knocked off a bridge

Agreed, I’m not sure I would contemplate owning one, not that I’m even in a position to. I still want to row my own gears. I’m with you in thinking of snatching a C5 up but we’ll see. C6 I’d be fine with too.

I like both the c6 and c5

With the C7 headlight conversion kits for the C6 that is the best looking vette IMO

Agreed, I’ll be getting the morimotos down the line but $1400 is a huge amount to cough up for headlights.

Exactly my thoughts. I spent 200$ on new lenses and some time and painted mine black.

Let freedom ring! Hoping the nose lift option comes on the base.

Interesting that their marketing is based on the sound it makes, when in a few years they might not make any sound at all (if they go electric).

Interesting but not surprising. There is still a strong population that wants that visceral experience.
A few other similar marketing plays:

  • GM filed a trademark for “Range Anxiety” in 2010 when selling the Volt
  • Making fun of Ford owners need of a “man step”
  • Cadillac currently having a save the manuals campaign with an all electric future…

I do love the sound of this z06, curious to see what mark-up price this will get with the current used market for c8’s over 100k right now. (STUPID)

Diesel Corvette?! Now I’m interested
