when welding in a roll cage is it nessasary to TIG…i kinda know the diffrence between the 2 but ehhhh not totally not enough…would mig welds be strong enough… i have a friend ordering a cage and i own a lincon mig with the argon(i mean my dad owns) gas DONT WORRY i have friends who went to school for welding who will do most of the work. i guess im just curious
No it is not necessary to TIG weld a cage unless it is made of 4130 chrome moly steel. MIG welding is fine if the person welding can MIG weld correctly.
yea there is no problem with mig welding. Its easier than tig welding. At least for me it is.
MIG will do the job. . . but if one of your friends can TIG weld worth a damn, then go with that. It will look so such more better :tup:
Mig will work, assuming that the machine is big enough, which most 110v buzz boxes arn’t.
