Finally mounted the rear flares. Those nutserts work like shit though. I’ll have to tig them in before I can button everything all up.

I’ve always wanted to do this but they don’t make them for the car so I would need to modify them to get them to fit properly. If I ever find a used set cheap I’d be up for it but I’m not paying $300+ for them without taking a look to see how much modifications would be needed.
found this:
at harbor freight so I was able to finally get on with the mounting of the rear flares. All that’s left to do in the back is rust bullet inside the QPs and then seam sealer.

fender flares… the car is super clean and i think your killing it putting those on the cover the wheel/tire combo.
are you goin to butter them in and flush em out or leave them with the rivets showing?

The bolts (rivets) are necessary for the functionality of the flares. Having them molded or whatever might look a little bit better, but when I nail a tire wall I should be able to change out a tire and flare in just a few minutes where if I “flush out” the rivets then I wouldn’t have that ability.

the flares aren’t in the way of the wheels, its an issue of removing and replacing the flares themselves. The ‘clean’ one’s you’ve pictured must have some hidden fasteners which is exactly what I’m doing away with on this car. For example my front bumper now has a hand full of dzus fasteners that are exposed for easy access.
i know what your doing and saying… just think the clean cut look would really put this car over the top.
Gotcha. I honestly don’t think they even make flares like that. Would be interesting though.

With his aggressive tire tire combo, not only will the flares cover the extra meat but IMO it will be super nice looking and very unique.
