That could be somewhat true since I won’t be buying anything while over seas, but the truth is I will always make more as an engineer.

Originally they wanted me to go to training in may, now they want me to go November which gives me 1 month to pack up, break my lease, and move. I didn’t think we’d be getting deployed until 2013 or 2014 so tagging that right on to the end of my training with no down time in between is really shitty. It could definitely fuck up my career as an engineer.

Again, its everything I signed up for, but the timing of all of it is complete shit.

For right now I’m just gonna crank up the pace of this project so as much as possible is done before I go anywhere.

Fuel Cell is being ordered,
junkyards have been contacted for quotes on hubs,
bearings are in the mail on the way to you adam.
I’m finishing up the frame rails this weekend
once I get the modified trailing arms from adam the DSS is ready to build custom axles…

so then its some plumbing, wiring and time to setup the rear suspension.

Looks like I’m going January, I should be done with training sometime early summer. My hope is to get the engine mounted and the suspension on the car by then. While I’m gone I’ll hand the motor over to Synapse for a refresher.

heck yeah

What happens if you don’t make it through ranger school?

Typically officers keep getting recycled until they pass. I’ve already been told that I won’t be able to because they want me at training with my platoon locally. One shot is all I get, 60 days, 3-4 hours of sleep a night, and only 2 MREs a day. :crazy

No shit… thats crazy. Good luck man, bad ass stuff. I watched the show surviving the cut about the ranger school and it made ranger school look insanely hard. Are you gonna be going through SERE school at all?

WTF is that

no, no SERE school, that’s typically for pilots and small team SpecOps guys. When I’m out there I’ll be surrounded by 40 of my guys and our big guns so none of that SERE stuff really applies to me (generally)

ahh I see I see.

Some progress, the process of mocking up, taking down, trimming the frame rails, mocking up and doing it all over again is a real pain, but hopefully it will result in the best fit at the end.

Still needs to go up approximately 1.5" tilted forward about 4* and brought back towards the subframe by maybe 3/4" Some more trimming of the metal will be required to accomplish that.

:clapmoar work naow do it!

new toys came in

haha good work!!

is that an mr2 pwr steering pump?

yes it is

YAH!!!
